Sublimation was used to describe an exchange of bodies and spirits, similar to the laboratory phase transition between solid and gas. It is an elevating process whereby a lower substance is translated into a higher form by an ascending movement. In the case of these glass patties, they are created using a combination of one organic element and one inorganic element. Through this sublimation process, the spirit of nature are encapsulated.
By crafting a glass patty incorporating a piece of cactus, the glass dome captures the unique texture and surface characteristics of the cactus. The internal space within the glass structure is determined by both the natural form of the cactus itself and the technical intricacies involved in the process of glass casting.
